Collaboration with the European Parliament

Throughout the year VERA 2025 activities were supported by an increasing collaboration with the European Parliament.

Throughout the year the VERA 2025 activities were supported by a strong collaboration with the European Parliament (EP) through meetings of the European Parliament Volunteering Interest Group. CEV also implemented together with 17 MEPs “job shadowing” days with 22 volunteers. By shadowing the volunteers in their activities, the MEPs involved are better suited to support, advocate and value volunteering in their daily work at the EP and by spending time in the EP the volunteers understand better the connection between EU policy-making and volunteering.
